Ciklum is looking for a Data Scientist  to join our team full-time in India.

About the role:

As a Data Scientist, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Responsibilities

  • Development of prototype solutions, mathematical models, algorithms, machine learning techniques, and robust analytics to support analytic insights and visualization of complex data sets
  • Create pipelines for cleaning, processing, and transformation of raw data from both database and CSV/Excel/Text sources
  • Work on exploratory data analysis so you can navigate a dataset and come out with broad conclusions based on initial appraisals
  • Create visualizations to interpret trained models, prove models being fit client’s needs as well as provide storytelling, explain relationships, and show insights
  • Understanding of Machine Learning model quality metrics with typical cases of their applicability
  • Improve Machine Learning model productivity as well as performance optimization
  • Interacts with engineering teams and ensures that solutions meet customer requirements in terms of functionality, performance, availability, scalability, and reliability
  • Work directly with business analysts and data engineers to understand and support their use cases
  • Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions
  • Drive innovation by exploring new experimentation methods and statistical techniques that could sharpen or speed up our product decision-making processes
  • Contribute to the unit’s activities like research opportunities, PoC creation, and Data Science tools discovery

Requirements

Ability to do NEW development work. Not only executing planned tasks but coming up with “How to…” is crucial for this position.

  • Experience: At least 3 years in developing Machine Learning solutions with a demonstrable track record of leveraging analytics to significantly impact business outcomes
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Econometrics, or a related field
  • MLOps Expertise: Minimum 1 year of experience with MLOps practices, including the integration of reliable Machine Learning pipelines in production, proficiency in Docker, containerization, and orchestration techniques
  • Cloud Proficiency: Strong experience with cloud services and infrastructure. Familiarity with cloud AI and ML services is essential. Cloud certification is highly regarded
  • Technical Skills:
    • Knowledge in probability theory, statistics, and the mathematics behind machine learning
    • Proficient in Python for ML solution development and statistical analysis, with experience in libraries such as Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch
    • Solid understanding of SQL for data manipulation and reporting
    • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI) and libraries (e.g.Matplotlib, seaborn)
    • Understanding of CRISP-ML(Q) / TDSP concept
  • Project Management: Exceptional time and project management skills, with the ability to manage detailed work and communicate project status effectively across all levels
  • Innovative Mindset: Self-motivated with a drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques. Comfortable working with loosely defined requirements and leveraging creativity and analytical skills to deliver best-in-class solutions

Desirable

  •  Kubernetes Experience: Direct experience with Kubernetes is strongly preferred, reflecting our operational reliance on container orchestration for deploying scalable ML solutions
  • Transition to Apache Zeppelin: Interest or experience in Apache Zeppelin, as part of our strategic move to enhance our analytics and machine learning development environment
  • Microservice Architecture: Understanding of or experience with microservice architecture, especially with a focus on transitioning away from Kubeflow dependencies
  • Advanced-Data & AI Skills:
    • Experience in Deep Learning is a plus
    • Experience with GenAI deployment and fine-tuning, utilizing LLMs to provide software automation capability integrations, experience with LangChain
    • Experience with Databricks, Snowflake platforms, PySpark is a plus
    • Experience with Rapids (GPU-accelerated data science libraries) is a significant advantage
