Description

Ciklum is looking for a dynamic and experienced General Manager to grow company’s operations in Spain.

Your focus will be to oversee all staff, budgets, delivery and operations of the local business unit and regional delivery centres across Spain.

You will report directly to the Group COO. Primary leadership responsibilities include formulating and executing strategy, managing people and keeping the policies up-to-date and in compliance with local labor laws. This role requires close cooperation with other departments in the Group to ensure the successful management of people, operations and clients in the region to accelerate Ciklum’s position as a Digital product engineering company for our clients and and employer of choice for our people.

The right candidate is a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, excellent P&L manager, capable of helping people to develop and clients to be successful. You will have extended responsibility across managing individuals to lead the multiple delivery centres and cascade and manage performance metrics on a variety of matrices and levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the P&L for Spain regional delivery with a focus on top line growth and improved Gross Margin
  • Create and execute on country/region growth strategy, including building the infrastructure for an end-to-end client and employee experience in the country region
  • Collaborating with group level functional teams and Delivery Managers in the region to ensure client satisfaction and employee satisfaction at all times
  • Being the face of the company for all visiting clients whom have hard ties to your domain of responsibility and ensuring the highest standards in client care and satisfaction
  • Ensure new strategies, initiatives are launched on-time, in collaboration with Group, transformation and operations team
  • Work with the compliance and risk team to ensure and support legal documents are fully compliant with all local regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring execution of Employee Value Proposition
  • Minimize attrition and retain talented employees
  • Lead employer marketing initiatives to ensure the Ciklum is considered best-in-class for technical talent in your market
  • Build new trusing client relationships and expand the value proposition for clients that leads to account growth
  • Conduct regular review on market trends and studies of competitor activities to identify opportunities
  • Initiate new ideas and ongoing innovation and operational improvement  for each regional delivery centre under your domain
  • Support functional management teams with new market and growth opportunities, including business development and signing new relationships with stakeholders and third party influencers in your market
  • Understanding and working within the framework of local regulatory environments
  • Ensure the the people and teams  are aligned to the business objectives and desired customer & employee experience, and contribute to increasing market share, share of wallet, customer retention, and customer profitability.
  • Support the development of new clients for all of our digital services in a variety of market segments with a primary focus on creating trusted partnerships where Ciklum delivers large scale innovation and digital platforms
  • Create and curate a list of trusted Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from the Ciklum Spanish delivery eco-system who will be brought in to support specific requirements from a market segmentation, platform or other areas specific to client needs

Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
  • Experience leading regional technology services P&Ls in high growth high margin environments
  • Advanced level of English and Spanish languages
  • Deep understanding and hands on experience running a site in Spain
  • Knowledge of Spanish labor law and immigration matters
  • Exceptional communicator able to convey strategic messages and negotiate efficiently
  • Experience leading employer value propositions resulting in better than market employee engagement and retention
  • At least 10 years of Technical Services leadership experience in a global context
  • Familiar with agile development methodology and scaled frameworks
  • Experience with latest technology evolutions such as micro-service architecture, API-driven design, mobile payments, application security integration, biometrics, cloud computing, fintech, blockchain, machine-learning, data analytics etc
  • Strong critical thinking with excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to direct teams and collaborate effectively across a matrix environment
