Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain iOS applications that align with Teladoc Health’s mission and technical standards
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and backend developers, to deliver high-quality mobile healthcare solutions
  • Write clean, efficient, and reusable code using Swift and Objective-C, adhering to best practices in iOS development
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and user experience
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure application stability and reliability
  • Stay current with the latest iOS development trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve the application’s functionality and performance
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge within the team
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare industry regulations throughout the development process
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of the mobile application ecosystem at Teladoc Health
  • Provide support during application releases and assist in troubleshooting post-launch issues

Requirements

  • Proven experience in iOS development with a strong portfolio of mobile applications
  • Proficiency in Swift and Objective-C, with a deep understanding of the iOS SDK and Apple’s development tools
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party libraries and services
  • Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX design principles and Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with system architecture involving front-end apps (web and mobile) supported by a middle layer for business logic and presentation
  • Proven ability to enhance application architecture for efficient load handling, rapid response times, and seamless performance
  • Skilled in implementing scalability solutions, performance tuning, and using monitoring tools to ensure a high-quality user experience
  • Ability to utilize custom JSON schemas for dynamic UI rendering based on back-end data
  • Strong focus on accessibility compliance to meet legal requirements and enhance user experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment as well as independently
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Passion for enhancing healthcare delivery through innovative mobile solutions
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, particularly HIPAA, is an advantage
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
