On behalf of SmartBear, Ciklum is looking for a Middle Automation QA Engineer to join the Kyiv team on a full-time basis.

We are seeking for QA Automation engineer with a passion for learning and creating awesome automated tests. This is an opportunity to work closely with a team of Java devs on a very complex project with very little test automation currently. Your primary responsibility will be to build up an adequate testing framework from scratch.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain test automation frameworks for different testing levels (API, UI)
  • Create clean and maintainable test automation scripts
  • Constantly communicate with the team and stakeholders to define test scenarios to automate
  • Participate in code review process
  • Participate in daily team meetings and brainstorming activities

Requirements

  • Strong software testing experience
  • Perfect understanding of testing levels concept and how to implement it (Test Pyramid)
  • Good Java knowledge (Core, Collections, Streams)
  • Practical experience in setting up E2E Test Automation Project from a scratch using:
    • Selenium, Selenide or other
    • Spock, Gauge, REST Assured or other
    • JUnit, TestNG
    • Gradle, Maven
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills
  • Be a self-starter and have excellent time management skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English

Desirable

  • Experience testing frontend written with GWT (Google Web Toolkit)
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS ECS
  • Experience with relational databases & SQL
  • Experience working with Spring Boot
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies
