Ciklum is looking for a Middle Data Engineer to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:

As a Middle Data Engineer, become a part of a development team working for our Client.

Our Client is developing an e-commerce platform for one of the biggest e-shops in the fashion domain in the German market. Client is running well-known brand, has a big team (over 100 people in department).

Responsibilities

• Contributes design, code, configurations, and documentation for components that manage data ingestion, real time streaming, batch processing, data extraction, transformation, and loading across multiple data storages
• Owns one or more key components of the infrastructure and works to continually improve it, identifying gaps and improving the platform’s quality, robustness, maintainability, and speed
• Interacts with engineering teams and ensures that solutions meet customer requirements in terms of functionality, performance, availability, scalability, and reliability

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with SQL 
• 2+ years of experience with data modelling and transformation using SQL 
• 1+years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (in particular Google BigQuery and Dataform) 
• Git and GitHub
•  Good communication also towards business, service providers and other data teams
• GCP experience

Desirable

• Experience with e-commerce and online marketing domain will be a plus 
• Experience with Apache Airflow will be a plus
• Experience with marketing data would be a big plus

Personal skills

• Good communication also towards business, service providers and other data teams
• Proactivity to suggest new things and willingness to learn new technologies
• Analytical thinking
• Upper-Intermediate English
