On behalf of Ciklum Digital, we are looking for a Principle Lead Manual QA Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

Tech expertise:

  • Perform audit activities of test solutions, development processes, test infrastructure and QA tools and providing recommendations
  • Participation in discoverypre-sale activities
  • Ongoing monitoring and improving or setting-up QA processes for different projects/products
  • Competence management
  • Influence team structure and seniority pyramyd
  • Test Strategy defining and preparation according to project and product specifics, define quality gates
  • QA Estimation, Testing Methodology Implementation, Agile QA Process Management
  • Test reporting on Quality level to key stakeholders
  • Test risks management

Unit development:

  • Participate in building of long-term vision and strategy for Manual QA Unit
  • Support and drive strategic internal initiatives
  • Define standards and best practices within quality: processes, approaches, frameworks, tools
  • Champion engineering and operational excellence, establishing metrics and process for regular assessment and improvement
  • Lead innovation by exploring new technologies, showing others how to leverage those discoveries through proof-of-concept implementations and knowledge sharing sessions

Talent management:

  • Work closely with dedicated recruiting staff to expand the team, including interviewing candidates, participating in conferences/events, hiring weeks, and on-boarding new employees
  • Manage QA leads and help them develop their careers, participate in Grading of QA team members
  • Mentor QA individuals, growing their skillset by training them on new technologies, advising areas of study, and teaching them about the standard implementations and patterns

Requirements

  • 6+ years professional experience in QA area
  • 2+ years of leading experience at least 7-10 people (Senior +)
  • Proven experience to setup core QA processes from scratch
  • Excellent knowledge of different testing methods, techniques and types
  • Deep understanding of core Test Automation principles, role of Test Automation in Quality process – what to automate, when to automate.
  • Knowledge of testing specifics for different application types – web, backend, mobile, embedded, high load, SaaS etc.)
  • Experience with different business domains (Fintech, Retail, Automotive, eCommerce etc.)
  • Deep understanding of development processes, approaches, infrastructure and tools
  • Agile/Scrum experience
  • Upper-intermediate or fluent English level
  • Risk management
  • Hands-on working experience with Web-based and Backend projects
  • Good knowledge in complex SQL queries, working experience with NoSQL Database
  • Good experience in working with REST andor SOAP APIs
  • Understanding of HTML/CSS
  • Advanced Jira skills to setup dashboards, collect metrics, setup workflows
