About the role:

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with extensive experience in managing and maintaining Windows Server environments, including expertise in Azure cloud services to join our global internal IT team in Chennai or Pune. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in administering Hyper-V, implementing and managing MDM solutions like Endpoint Central, and ensuring robust data protection through backup solutions such as Veeam. Additionally, experience with ESET antivirus and other security measures is essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our IT infrastructure, contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, and optimize Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
  • Ensure server availability, performance, and security in accordance with best practices and organizational policies
  • Design, implement, and manage Azure-based infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
  • Monitor and optimize Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking components
  • Administer Hyper-V environments, including creating, configuring, and managing virtual machines and virtual networks
  • Perform regular performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery tests for virtual environments
  • Implement and manage backup solutions, specifically using Veeam, to ensure data protection and quick recovery in the event of data loss or system failure
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and conduct regular DR tests to ensure readiness
  • Deploy, configure, and manage Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions like Endpoint Central to ensure secure and efficient device management across the organization
  • Monitor and manage endpoints to ensure compliance with security policies
  • Implement, configure, and manage ESET antivirus solutions across all endpoints, ensuring that systems are protected against malware and other security threats
  • Administer and manage Google Workspace, including user account management, security configurations, and integration with other tools and systems
  • Ensure smooth operation of email, collaboration tools, and document management within Google Workspace
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell) to streamline routine tasks and improve operational efficiency
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring to reduce manual intervention and minimize errors
  • Implement and maintain monitoring tools to track the performance and availability of IT infrastructure
  • Analyze performance metrics and logs to identify areas for improvement and take proactive measures to prevent issues
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes,and procedures
  • Generate regular reports on infrastructure performance, security status, and incident resolution
  • Work closely with other IT teams to support project implementations and resolve technical issues
  • Provide advanced technical support to end-users and junior IT staff, acting as an escalation point for complex issues

Requirements

  • Education – HigherSpecial with technical specialization
  • Foreign languages (level) – English Upper intermediate
  • Experience – A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar infrastructure engineering role
  • Extensive experience in managing and maintaining Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and server performance tuning
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, including deployment, management, and security best practices
  • Experience with Azure AD, Azure Backup, and Azure Site Recovery
  • Proficiency in managing Hyper-V environments, including virtual machine configuration, performance optimization, and troubleshooting
  • Expertise with Veeam or similar backup and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring data protection and business continuity
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, such as Endpoint Central, including deployment, configuration, and management of devices
  • Solid understanding and experience with endpoint security solutions, specifically ESET antivirus, including installation, configuration, and ongoing management
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and firewall management
  • Experience with log collection and analysis systems like the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) to monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and applications
  • Proficiency in using monitoring tools such as Zabbix to track infrastructure performance, availability, and security, ensuring quick identification and resolution of issues
  • Experience with Google Workspace administration, including user management, security settings, and integration with other tools and services
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues
  • Ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert), or other related certifications are highly desirable
