On behalf of CloudSimple, Ciklum is looking for a Senior Software Test Automation Engineer to join our Kyiv team on full-time basis.

CloudSimple is building next generation cloud infrastructure with a specific focus on enterprises workloads. We are looking for a strong self-motivated Software Test Automation Engineer with passion for quality and automation.



  • Analyze feature requirements and end-to-end user scenarios, and prepare test plans with detailed functional, performance, test cases. Define release criteria for feature release, and ensure comprehensive test coverage
  • Develop test automation based on the test cases, and integrate them into the existing automation test framework. Achieve as high as possible automation coverage with test code modularity and reuse
  • Independently design large scale test infrastructure to cover all levels of test (e.g. functional, performance, smoke, etc.)
  • Communicate test results and highlight any potential quality risks from the automation test results
  • Perform the first level triage upon detecting product defects; Analyze defects to assess severity and prioritize them for developers
  • Interact with software developers to tune code and track all problem reports to closure


  • A minimum of 4-5 years of proven experience developing test automation of software product by using one of languages from JVM stack (Groovy/Java) and scripting language (preferably, Python)
  • Good understanding of RESTful API principles
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Linux, hands-on experience with systems backed up by distributed databases like Cassandra or ElasticSearch; good understanding of Kafka, Consul
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes
  • Practical experience of work with public clouds (AWS/Google/Azure), in particular experience with Azure is a big plus
  • Familiarity with version control tools (e.g. git/GitHub), CI tools (e.g. Jenkins), code review tools (e.g. Gitlab), issue management and bug life cycle (e.g. Jira)
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or other related majors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with the CloudSimple global team
