Description

On behalf of Ciklum Digital, Ciklum is looking for a Solution Architect / Engineering Lead to join our team on a full-time basis.

You will join a highly motivated team and will be working on a modern solution for our existing client. We are looking for technology experts who want to make an impact on new business by applying best practices and taking ownership.

Project description:
Ciklum is building the collaborative sportswear design and creation platform for the TOP-5 multinational company of the sportswear market. Scalable solution that will be used by famous worldwide sportswear designers to create and bring to market new sports fashion collections. Part of the larger Product Lifecycle Management ecosystem the platform delivered within the current project will become a market differentiator and key comparative advantage for a multi-billion business. The project will use proven and edge technologies and concepts, such as SAFe, Behaviour-Driven Development, DevOps, Event-Driven architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Client engagement up to VP level and senior stakeholder management – the ability to communicate the company strategy, solutions, services and technology stacks to key clients and stakeholders, build credibility and trust with the client
  • Be a part of an architecture group together with client’s solution architects, provide advisory / consultancy on engineering / architecture
  • Act as most Senior technical expert on the project, Leader of an engineering team; provide inputs to Developers and QA teams; ensure alignment of engineering processes and practices among delivery teams
  • Act as the mentor to domain related family of solution team leads and developers; define upskilling plan and coach team on engineering topics
  • Ensure accomplishment of business goals, engineering metrics in regards to delivered software
  • Drive business, information and technology architectures mapping
  • Produce vision which satisfies architecturally significant requirements through trade-off analysis, proof of concepts implementation, benchmarking
  • Set up and manage architecture design and documenting processes
  • Review and validate architecture design decisions made within engineering teams and ensure compliance with architecture vision
  • Proactively drive architecture decision making process and relentless improvements

Requirements

  • Experience in software engineering for more than 10 years
  • Relevant experience in software development with Java for more than 5 years
  • Relevant experience in software development with various AWS services for more than 3 years
  • Relevant experience in software development with Apache Kafka for more than 1 year
  • Commercial experience in solution architecture for more than 2 years:
    • Develop long-lasting relationships
    • Ability to influence senior client decision-makers
    • Leading and supporting medium to large size solution delivery projects
    • Analysis of business, product and technology requirements
    • Business consulting and advisory
  • Fluent English
  • Understanding SDLC processes and their reasoning
  • Experience with guiding software development, testing, deployment and project management
