Ciklum has pioneered a unique business model in Ukraine and Belarus, where employees have direct communication with a client and are equal to clients’ onshore colleagues affecting this way the product and business approaches of our clients.

Our business model is unlike any traditional software outsourcing alternative because we deliver direct communication with our clients and nearshore colleagues due to the flat management structure. We build collaborative Ciklum Communities of IT experts shaped by our clients, employees and partners with an easily accessible online and offline network of like-minded people. We run around 100 events of different scale across Ciklum locations every month, and have built a reputation and image in the market of being the platform for free knowledge sharing and challenging the status quo. We create the environment and atmosphere in the company that stimulates professional and personal growth.

Our general ethos is to facilitate self-driven peer-to-peer learning environment which would suit employees in a very diverse and fast changing world of Ciklum Clients’ teams. Ciklum’s size and unique model of cooperation with Clients running numerous near-shore teams provides a very good basis for active knowledge-sharing, development of practice leaders (or interest) groups , and organizing of knowledge-sharing events open to outside world. For example, we host our own Ciklum Saturdays meet-ups and annual IT Jam event as well as various external specialized clubs and communities, such as QA Club, Drupal Cafes, GTUG, etc.).

Our emphasis is on self-driven knowledge-sharing. We call it Practice Leaders Movement, which unites both employees and clients. The big idea behind this is that having 2500+ IT specialists within Ciklum team and 200+ clients in our partner network, we form the huge network for knowledge upgrade and sharing.

These event introduce a light format of presentation on various topics: from Scrum implementation and mainstream technologies -- up to various practices implemented in specific teams and projects, latest trends in the IT area, new technologies and management tools, etc.

Ciklum Saturdays

Ciklum Saturdays is a progressive format of one-day events called to create a platform for networking, knowledge and experience sharing on a particular technology, programming language or practice (for instance, iOS, Android, .NET, Java, PHP, QA, Agile, etc.). Saturdays are held in an informal atmosphere of the cozy Ciklum offices in Ukraine and Belarus, covering 4-5 pro topics and providing an opportunity to the prominent and experienced speakers to talk and inspire other software developers by the cool stuff they do.

Speakers’ Corner

We constantly support various non-commercial events aimed at increasing expertise of Ukrainian and Belarusian software developers. Having great office facilities in all our locations, we keep our doors open for hosting numerous events such as Android Hackathons, DOU StartUp weekends, Drupal Cafes, Alt.Net meet-ups, Python and CocoHeads gatherings.

Ciklum Education Program for Project Managers

Ciklum PM Education Program is aimed at strengthening PMs’ skills in leadership, communication and processes. The Program is held for Project Managers, Team Leads, and Scrum Masters of various Ciklum teams across all Ciklum locations.

The workshops and trainings within the Program are delivered by Ciklum HR Department and Ciklum Technical Consultants as well as the Clients and external professionals who are willing to share their expertise with the colleagues.

    The Program includes following formats:

  • workshops (4-6 hours);
  • 1-day trainings on soft and hard-skills;
  • PM Club – 1-hour open meet-ups that happen on a monthly basis;
  • 1:1 meetings – the format which allows PMs meeting Ciklum senior managers and get advice on their specific issue, talk about leadership, business or any other topic relevant for them.
