Kantar Consulting virtual reality software enables many of the leading global retailers and manufacturers (e.g. Tesco, Unilever) to win at the point of purchase, through improved design and co-creation, merchandising, space, range and shopper activation. The team is developing virtual reality simulation software. June 29, 2017 – Today Ciklum’s work for the Kantar Retail Virtual Reality was announced on the shortlist for The 2017 Global Sourcing Association UK Awards for Best Practice in Outsourcing. Kantar Retail’s Virtual Reality nominated for the UK’s ITO Project of the Year is a unique enterprise project for desktop, laptop and Oculus Rift using Unity Game Engine for commercial use.

In 2013, Kantar Retail’s team was concerned that outsourcing such a complex Virtual Reality project could stifle ideas. The company reached Ciklum for a hybrid development model – offshore, nearshore and onshore teams developing a project together. Four years later, Kantar Retail’s UK, U.S. and Ukrainian teams achieved 60% faster time to market, and 36% to 43% higher team productivity. The client received an on-line research Virtual Reality solution, which is faster, and cost-effective solution vs. physical in-store testing to understand shopper behavior. The GSA UK Awards shortlists the projects and companies in over 20 judging categories. The IT Outsourcing Project of the Year is judged on the basis of its ability to deliver both initial and ongoing business value to the client, incorporating both best practice and continuous service innovation.

The GSA UK Awards 2017 will take place on the 19th of October in London. The final selection of winners will be based on the live judging session in front of the GSA UK judging committee.

In June, Ciklum was also named among The 2017 Global Outsourcing 100 Top Companies for client references, programs for innovations, certifications, and CSR programs.
