Ciklum is looking for an AI Engineer with a focus on Computer Vision and Generative AI to join our team full-time in Pakistan.

About the role:
As an AI Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.
Responsibilities
Develop generative models and image-to-image transformation pipelines for interior scene manipulation, layout generation, and realistic rendering
Design and implement computer vision algorithms to segment, classify, and understand interior elements (e.g., furniture, floor, lighting, walls)
Explore and deploy foundation models (e.g., Stable Diffusion, Flux, ControlNet) and integrate them into production pipelines
Explore and benchmark third-party AI services (e.g., image generation, editing, segmentation APIs) and seamlessly integrate them into scalable production pipelines
Work closely with design and product teams to align AI capabilities with creative design needs
Drive exploratory data analysis on visual and multimodal datasets (images + text), detect inconsistencies, and propose data-driven improvements
Conduct experiments to evaluate model realism, style alignment, and accuracy in room element localization
Optimize models for performance, latency, and scalability

General technical requirements:
BSc, MSc, or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, Econometrics, or related fields
Strong knowledge of Probability Theory, Statistics, and a deep understanding of the Mathematics behind Machine Learning
Proficiency with CRISP-ML(Q) or TDSP methodologies for addressing commercial problems through data science solutions
Hands-on experience with various machine learning techniques, including but not limited to:
Regression
Classification
Clustering
Dimensionality reduction etc.
Proficiency in Python for developing machine learning/deep learning models and conducting statistical analyses
Strong understanding of data visualization tools and techniques (e.g., Python libraries such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, etc.) and the ability to present data effectively
Deep understanding of image generation models (e.g., VAEs, GANs, Diffusion Models), especially multimodal models (e.g.,GPT-4o, Stable Diffusion, ControlNet, Paint-by-Example etc.)
Experience in computer vision system development using TensorFlow/PyTorch, OpenCV frameworks
Experience in developing or working with systems that analyze or generate multimodal content, including image, layout, and text modalities
Familiarity with AI/ML cloud implementations (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-based AI/ML services (e.g., Amazon SageMaker, Azure ML)
Experience with REST APIs for model integration into web-based UIs or mobile apps
Proven experience in developing data science solutions that drive measurable business impact, with a strong track record of end-to-end project execution
Ability to effectively translate business problems into data science problems and create solutions from scratch using machine learning and statistical methods
Excellent project management and time management skills, with the ability to manage complex, detailed work and effectively communicate progress and results to stakeholders at all levels
Desirable
Experience with MLOps, including integration of machine learning pipelines into production environments, Docker, and containerization/orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and frameworks for developing applications powered by LLMs (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex)
Experience with prompt engineering for multimodal models and/or adapter training for diffusion models
Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases for data processing, data manipulation, sampling, and reporting
Research experience with peer-reviewed publications
Recognized achievements in data science competitions, such as Kaggle
Certifications in cloud-based machine learning services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
