About the role:

As a Business Development Specialist, become a part of a cross-functional development team. We’re a well-established business with a startup mindset – agile, fast-moving, and always looking for what’s next. Right now, we’re growing fast and looking for a driven, ambitious Business Development Specialist to join our London team. This is a high-energy sales hunter role focused on driving new business and opening doors. You’ll be responsible for identifying and qualifying new opportunities, building a solid pipeline, and helping generate net new revenue for Ciklum. You’ll work closely with vertical sales leads and pre-sales teams to turn early conversations into meaningful opportunities. We’re in the office 3 days a week to foster collaboration, but this role gives you the autonomy to own your prospecting and drive your market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute client acquisition strategies to support Ciklum’s growth
  • Identify, engage, and qualify new business opportunities that align with our service offerings
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects, ensuring quality and consistency in CRM
  • Run early-stage meetings and pitches with decision-makers to position Ciklum’s value proposition
  • Research, target, and prioritise key accounts with a strategic and commercial mindset 
  • Collaborate with vertical sales leads and pre-sales experts to move opportunities forward
  • Represent Ciklum at industry events, networking opportunities, and client-facing functions
  • Work as part of a supportive, high-performing sales team focused on outcomes and growth

Requirements

  • Proven experience (2+ years) in a business development or outbound sales role, ideally in tech, digital services, or IT
  • Confident engaging senior stakeholders and articulating business value
  • Strong communication, persuasion, and presentation skills
  • Comfortable working towards targets with a self-starter attitude and proactive approach
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and structured sales processes
