Ciklum is looking for a Data Architect to join our team full-time in Chennai / Pune.

About the role:

As a Data Architect, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. You will support our teams in the US in winning new business. Your primary responsibility will be to work with the Go to Market organization to generate and develop technical strategies and solutions for new and existing clients across all our digital services. You will play a key role in creating trusted partnerships, where Ciklum delivers large-scale innovation and digital platforms tailored to the unique needs of various businesses. The role can be located in Chennai or Pune, India.

Technical Skills :

  • DBMS: Expert in both SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Proficient in designing data models that align with business needs
  • Hands-on experience in using modern ETL tools
  • Experience with Data Lake, Hadoop, and Spark technologies
  • Experience with public clouds like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Analyse and interpret complex data sets to inform decision-making
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability
  • Guide teams to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues effectively

 

Responsibilities

  • Analyse and interpret complex data sets to make informed decisions
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability
  • Design and develop enterprise-level data architecture and solutions to meet business needs
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Evaluate and select appropriate software or hardware tools to achieve desired data architecture
  • Design data models, database schemas, and data integration workflows
  • Develop and maintain data policies, procedures, and standards
  • Optimize and tune data solutions for performance and scalability
  • Guide teams to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues effectively
  • Ensure data solutions are secure, compliant, and adhere to best practices
  • Setup CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows
  • Expertise in designing and implementing complex data pipelines using tools like Apache Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, etc.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in data architecture and management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Proven experience (12+ years) as a Data Engineer, Data Architect, or similar role in a large-scale data environment
  • Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and privacy considerations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in project management and agile methodologies is a plus
  • Certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or Data / Big Data certifications from AWS/Azure/GCP are desirable
