Ciklum is looking for an Expert DevOps Engineer to join our team full-time in Bulgaria.

About the role:

We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and proactive Expert DevOps Engineer to lead, innovate, and provide thought leadership in all aspects of our cloud infrastructure, shared services, and development operations. This role requires an individual who not only actively contributes and leads but also participates in industry events, stays proactively up to date, and can hold presentations at conferences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and actively contribute to cloud foundation topics, including participating in industry events and staying proactively updated
  • Lead Platform Engineering for Azure Shared Services, capable of presenting at conferences
  • Lead non-Azure System-Team Shared-Services, capable of presenting at conferences
  • Design and refine Azure solutions based on application requirements, reusing shared services or facilitating new Azure services
  • Lead the extension and creation of new Terraform modules, and debug existing scripts
  • Provide thought leadership on Swissmedic Security Requirements and their implementation
  • Navigate and update the GRC-Toolbox for regular security reviews
  • Mentor junior engineers
  • Proactively identify and assess new technologies and upcoming releases

Requirements

  • Strategic Cloud Leadership: Deep expertise in Microsoft Cloud for Sovereignty, assessing impact of Azure SLZ releases, and updating infrastructure design
  • Advanced Cloud Networking & Security: Mastery in controlling Egress-Traffic through Azure Firewall, configuring Defender for Cloud, managing Sentinel (SIEM), and understanding Azure hierarchy for Subscription/Management-Groups and custom Azure Policy implementation
  • Containerization & Kubernetes (AKS) Mastery: Advanced skills in hosting and optimizing AKS clusters, including complex networking, scaling, and troubleshooting. Expert knowledge of AKS Innenausbau (NGINX-Ingress-Controller, Cert-Manager, ISTIO) and AKS Surroundings (CSI Driver integration, workload identities, Azure Gatekeeper)
  • Advanced Application Gateway & Certificate Management: Expertise in adapting AGW for API Management, defining Metrics/KPIs and OWASP-Rules, accommodating private-IP Access/IP-Whitelisting, and performing lifecycle operations on AGW KeyVault Certificates
  • Container Registry Optimization: Advanced understanding of ACR Caching Rules and optimizing container image pulling
  • Complex Shared Services Design & Implementation: Proficiency in integrating Azure Communication Service (ACS) with custom roles, extending Malware-Scanning Terraform Module, performing solution-design and lifecycle management for Security & Audit Log Store Shared Service, and providing Terraform Backend and SFTP Storage Account modules
  • Enterprise GitHub & CI/CD Architecture: Architect-level skills in Github Governance, managing Global Secrets, leading Github Enterprise Managed Users integration, optimizing Github Teams automation, and designing/implementing advanced CI-CD pipelines. Expertise in reusable actions/workflows, Dependabot, Renovate, Artifact-Repository (Nexus) integration and governance, Sonarqube integration and rule modification, and managing Github Runners and Base-Images
