About the role:

As a Expert DevOps Engineer (AWS), you'll become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and vision for the DevOps team, defining and implementing best practices for infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define cloud infrastructure strategy and roadmap, aligning with overall business goals
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing DevOps team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning
  • Continuously evaluate and improve DevOps processes, driving automation, efficiency, and agility within the software delivery lifecycle
  • Maintain a deep understanding of AWS services, IaC tools, and DevOps methodologies to solve complex technical challenges
  • Effectively communicate technical concepts to various stakeholders, including developers, senior management, and clients
  • Identify and address technical debt within the infrastructure, proactively implementing solutions for long-term maintainability and scalability

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience with a proven track record of success
  • 7+ years of experience in a DevOps engineering role with significant leadership experience
  • Proven experience in designing, architecting, and implementing large-scale, secure, and reliable AWS solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor high-performing DevOps teams
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Relevant AWS certifications are highly preferred (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, AWS Security Specialty)
  • Strong strategic and business acumen

Desirable

  • Cloud: Extensive and deep understanding of a broad range of AWS services, best practices, and architectural patterns
  • IaC Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation, or other IaC tools with the ability to design and manage complex infrastructure as code templates
  • Containerization and Microservices: Extensive experience with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and microservices architectures
  • Complex Configuration Management: Expertise in configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.)
  • Scripting and Programming Expertise: Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash) and proficiency with one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go) for building robust automation solutions
  • Robust Networking: In-depth knowledge of networking concepts, VPC design, hybrid cloud architectures, and network security
  • Security Focus: Strong understanding of cloud security principles, penetration testing, and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS)
  • Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership skills, fostering a positive team environment, inspiring innovation, and effectively communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Multi-Cloud: Experience with other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, etc.)
