Ciklum is looking for a Java Center of Excellence (CoE) Leader to join our team full-time in India.

About the role:

As a Java Center of Excellence (CoE) Leader, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. You must be talented, experienced, and eager to lead a highly capable Java CoE team to rapid growth. This role will set up the foundations of the CoE, defining strategy and direction with autonomy and accountability. It is a leadership role reporting directly to the Head of the Modern Sub-service line and Head of Product Engineering, working with key internal and external stakeholders to drive how Ciklum's offerings can produce better business outcomes for our clients, win work, and grow Ciklum. You will work closely with leaders in related areas to ensure a consistent, scalable, and world-class Java CoE.

Responsibilities

  • Creating and executing the Java CoE technical strategy
  • Building and growing a strong team globally, ensuring the team can deliver Java CoE offerings with high-quality
  • Growing the CoE to meet Ciklum’s goals
  • Pre-sales and winning new work
  • Improving value proposition and technology radar as technology changes
  • Ensuring the team has the capability and competency to deliver against the value proposition
  • Running the communities of practice and building engagement internally
  • Public speaking at events that are likely to bring us business
  • Lead the team of engaged talents, ensure high performance and continuous development in compliance with Ciklum processes
  • Creating an inclusive and welcoming environment within the Java CoE that drives a community that grows and retains talent

Requirements

  • Extensive practical experience in Java development and leadership
  • Awareness of the latest IT industry and digitalization trends
  • Ability to set clear and attainable goals and priorities, manage time effectively, handle multi-tasking activities, and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • High flexibility and the ability to modify approaches based on changing stakeholders, conditions, circumstances, and feedback. Quick learning ability
  • Utilizing all aspects of emotional intelligence to navigate interactions and complexities in the business environment and drive leadership performance in oneself and others
  • Performance management skills to manage individuals and groups, set performance targets, and monitor progress against agreed quality and performance criteria
