About the role:

We are seeking a Lead Product Manager with a proven track record of launching and supporting digital products to join our Customer Experience team in Ciklum in UAE. The candidate will have mastery of product management skills, a thorough understanding of market trends, and the ability to execute product management responsibilities at the highest level. This role requires leadership in driving product strategy, fostering a culture of discovery, and building strong relationships with stakeholders while aligning with the company’s long-term vision.

Our client is a technology business that runs large-scale transformation engagements across various verticals, including the public sector. You will be part of a key initiative to modernize a nationwide government platform through comprehensive digital transformation. By leveraging advanced web portals, mobile applications, CRM systems, predictive analytics, and AI, our dynamic team aims to enhance and streamline core services for government officials, the legal ecosystem, and citizens. Our primary focus is on ensuring seamless integration, scalability, and adherence to rigorous performance and security standards.

Responsibilities

Work on Continuous Product Discovery:

  • Develop and execute a product strategy that drives significant business impact and aligns with the company's long-term goals
  • Identify new growth opportunities by understanding market trends and customer needs
  • Shape the direction of the organization using data-driven insights, and innovate at the highest levels to drive company growth
  • Conduct thorough market research and data analysis to inform strategic product decisions
  • Lead collaborative discovery processes, establishing a company-wide culture of continuous discovery and validation, focusing on creativity, analytical thinking, and empathy
  • Support and inspire the design team with creativity, ensuring adherence to exceptional design principles
  • Create and communicate a comprehensive product roadmap that fosters innovation, growth, and scalability across the organization
  • Use a well-developed prioritization system that significantly impacts business objectives, ensuring the product backlog is aligned with strategic goals while identifying areas for improvement in handling complex scenarios and edge cases

Execute Cross-functional Leadership:

  • Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept to launch and scaling
  • Understand and apply the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) effectively, communicating technical concepts clearly with the development team
  • Work independently with engineering, design, and other teams to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery
  • Set up product governance processes and continuously improve them based on performance metrics and feedback
  • Translate complex technical requirements into clear, motivating objectives for the team. Facilitate discussions with technical teams to ensure alignment and understanding
  • Inspire and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment that achieves high performance
  • Coach and mentor team members to develop their skills and foster growth within the team

  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with executives, customers, and partners
  • Effectively communicate product vision and strategies to stakeholders at all levels
  • Make strategic, informed decisions that align with company goals and objectives, even in complex or uncertain situations

  • Demonstrate the ability to identify the root cause of a problem and develop solutions
  • Evaluate complex data, identify patterns, and anticipate potential outcomes
  • Demonstrate effective conflict resolution skills to maintain a harmonious and productive working environment
  • Leverage effective presentation techniques and an ability to engage the audience with compelling storytelling and well-designed visual aids
  • Demonstrate strong time management and teamwork skills, working collaboratively to meet deadlines and tackle product challenges, especially in complex situations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field building/shipping technical products
  • 7+ years of experience in product management, with proven success in leading product teams and driving strategic initiatives
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing product features through their lifecycle, using customer-centric product development
  • Experience in setting up user research and applying product testing frameworks
  • Proven track record of managing other product managers and product owners
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a dynamic and collaborative environment
  • Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus
  • Experience with business-to-government projects / public sector is a strong plus
  • Fluent Arabic and English – you should be able to elicit project details, run workshops, and clearly articulate your decisions
