Ciklum is looking for a Middle JavaScript (Vue and Node.js) Software Engineer to join our team full-time in the Czech Republic.

About the role:

As a Middle JavaScript (Vue and Node.js) Software Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. 

Our client is a global leader in media and content management systems, providing cutting-edge solutions to deliver high-quality content to millions of users daily. This project focuses on building a modular, extensible, end-to-end, and multi-brand publishing framework. The framework enables seamless content creation and publication across all brands under a single, unified technology platform. Your contributions will directly impact over 10 million unique users per day, necessitating exceptional quality in coding, SEO, performance, and compliance. The team operates using Scrum methodology, ensuring collaborative and iterative development.

Technologies Used on the Project:

  • Frontend: Vue 3 with Quasar component library, SolidJS, BEM principles for SCSS
  • Backend & API: Node.js with Express.js, TSOA plugin, JWT validation
  • Databases: MongoDB, Redis
  • Tools & Platforms: Docker, AWS, REST API, WebSockets (Socket.IO)
  • Testing: Playwright, Vitest, Jest

Responsibilities

  • Active participation in the development of modern, web-based operation center software
  • Design and implement innovative product features and solutions
  • Develop high-quality software, adhering to clean code principles, and ensure comprehensive test coverage
  • Ensuring high performance of applications
  • Collaborate proactively in team activities such as story refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Enhance code quality and contribute to thorough documentation

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in an international, agile team spread across countries
  • Proficiency in understanding business requirements and translating them into technical solutions
  • 3+ years of experience with JavaScript and TypeScript, including ES6+ syntax
  • Expertise in writing clean and maintainable JavaScript code
  • Experience with Node.js and Vue.js
  • Proven experience working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts
  • Familiarity with native build tools, such as Xcode and Gradle
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and GraphQL

Desirable

  • Experience with SolidJS and the BEM methodology
  • Practical knowledge of WebSockets and real-time communication
  • Background in AWS, Docker, and cloud-based architectures
  • Hands-on experience with modern testing frameworks such as Playwright or Jest
