About the role:
As a Middle PHP Developer, you'll become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experience of tomorrow.

Your role will involve contributing to the design, development, and architecture of services, solving complex problems, and ensuring the performance and scalability of systems. You will collaborate closely with your team, perform code reviews, and actively engage in the software development life cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance products and services while ensuring high-quality, scalable software
  • Find innovative solutions to complex problems and improve system performance, scalability, and availability
  • Create tools and processes to boost team productivity and diagnose/debug production issues
  • Develop and implement new backend features according to the roadmap, maintaining clean, secure, and well-documented code
  • Participate in code reviews to uphold code quality and contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from requirement analysis to testing

Requirements

  • Strong experience in software design, including established design patterns, best practices, and documentation through technical diagrams
  • Proficiency in PHP 7/8 with at least five years of experience, including two years working with Laravel or Symfony
  • Solid understanding of the LAMP stack, Docker, Git, and modern ORM systems like Doctrine or Eloquent
  • Expertise in RDBMS (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases, optimizing queries, and designing scalable database structures
  • Practical experience developing both monolithic and distributed systems and deploying applications on AWS
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under time constraints and adapt quickly
  • Experience with PHPUnit, unit and integration testing, and implementing quality improvements
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure management for efficient deployment cycles
  • Nice-to-have skills include experience with Redis, MongoDB, Elastic, AWS, message brokers (RabbitMQ, SQS), Postman, additional scripting languages (TypeScript, Python, Ruby, Go), and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Languages:
    • Fluent Spanish is required
    • English is a plus
