Ciklum is looking for a Senior Delivery Manager to join our team full-time in India.

About the role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Delivery Manager to spearhead our large-scale Internet of Things (IoT) and connected hardware initiatives. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of integrated solutions that span hardware, firmware, connectivity, and cloud services. You will manage a multi-disciplinary team of over 30 professionals, serving as the central point of leadership between clients, engineering teams, and executive stakeholders.
Your deep technical understanding of the hardware development lifecycle, IoT architectures, and firmware development, combined with your expertise in Agile methodologies, will be essential for navigating the complexities of connected product development and ensuring project success..

Responsibilities

  • Project & Delivery Management:
    • Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex IoT projects, from hardware prototyping to production and software deployment
    • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, roadmaps, budgets, and timelines, ensuring alignment with client objectives and business goals
    • Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain, manufacturing, certification, and technology integration
    • Oversee the creation of key project documentation, including SOWs, project charters, and status reports for complex hardware/software programs
  • Team Leadership & Mentoring:
    • Directly manage, mentor, and lead a large, cross-functional team of 30+ members, including hardware engineers, firmware developers, cloud specialists, QA, and support specialists
    • Foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture that balances the demands of both hardware and software development cycles
    • Conduct resource planning, allocation, and performance management to optimize team efficiency and professional growth
  • Agile & Scrum Leadership:
    • Act as a servant leader and Scrum Master, adapting Agile principles for a hybrid hardware/software environment
    • Facilitate key ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, and Retrospectives, ensuring clear communication and progress tracking
    • Maintain and prioritize project backlogs in Jira, ensuring transparency across all technical disciplines
  • Technical Oversight & Strategy:
    • Provide strategic guidance by leveraging a strong understanding of the end-to-end hardware development lifecycle (from PCB design and prototyping, and manufacturing)
    • Lead technical discussions on IoT architecture, including device connectivity (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth/BLE), communication protocols (e.g., MQTT), and cloud integration
    • Oversee firmware development processes, ensuring robust, secure, and over-the-air (OTA) updatable device software
    • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software architects to ensure seamless integration across the entire solution stack

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in the technology industry, with at least 4 years in a Delivery or Project Manager role
  • IoT / Hardware Delivery Expertise: Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex IoT or connected hardware projects from concept to market
  • Technical Acumen (Mandatory):
    • Hardware Development: Strong familiarity with the hardware product development lifecycle, including schematic design, PCB layout, prototyping, and certification processes
    • Firmware Development: Solid understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers (MCUs), and firmware development practices (C/C++, RTOS)
    • IoT Architecture: Knowledge of IoT components, platforms, and connectivity
  • Large-Scale Team Management: Proven experience managing and leading large, cross-functional teams of 30+ members
  • Agile/Scrum Master: Hands-on experience as a Scrum Master with expert-level proficiency in Jira for backlog management and tracking

Desirable

  • Cloud Computing: Strong familiarity with a major cloud IoT service (e.g., AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, etc.)
  • Mobile Application Development Platforms: Experience with companion mobile apps (iOS/Android) that interact with and control IoT devices
  • Data Science / Data Engineering: Understanding of how to build data pipelines to ingest, store, and analyse IoT data for business insights
