Ciklum is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, automate, and maintain customer environments, deployments and Configurations
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve across platform domain
  • Keep up with industry best practices, trends, and standards
  • Identify automation opportunities – designs and develop automation solutions that improve operations and efficiency
  • Plan, design and implement key software infrastructure-related systems and components
  • Identify bottlenecks and technical gaps as well as optimization options, and  plan system capacity
  • Perform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actions
  • Contribute to further enhancing Agile and DevOps culture
  • Participate in the escalation on-call layer on a weekly basis

Requirements

  • 5+ years of a strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
  • 3+ years experience in AWS administration in a production environment (deep understanding of VPCs, ELBs, ASG, RDS, IAM, EKS, ECS, etc.)
  • 3+ years of practical experience with Kubernetes and Docker
  • 3+ years of practical experience with IAAC (Terraform)
  • Experience with the continuous integration systems (Jenkins, GitHub actions)
  • Understanding of the OOP principles for the development and maintenance of the Jenkins pipelines (Python, Groovy)
  • Monitoring, logging and alerting systems (Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK-stack, PagerDuty)

  • Organized and well-acquainted with cloud support methodologies
  • Security minded
  • Responsible and reliable person
  • Understanding disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) concepts
  • Experience with Hashicorp Consul
  • Knowledge of IT operations best practices for production environment support
