Ciklum is looking for a Senior Lawyer to join our team full-time in Prague and Bratislava.

About the role:

As a Senior Lawyer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. 

We are in the search of a Senior Lawyer for a growing IT professional services and digital projects business.
You will responsible for the legal matters in the focus countries reporting to the group legal & compliance team.
You will bring commercial legal expertise to our business teams in DACH (Deutschland, Austria and Switzerland) region and provide generalist legal support for the SPVs of the group across its business jurisdictions in Czechia, Slovakia and Romania.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day legal assistance and support to the legal team and business teams in the focus countries, including solid advice, claims and disputes resolution
  • Draft and negotiate customer and vendor contracts, mainly for digital projects, IT consulting, development, support and licensing of SW solutions and products
  • Manage and review services by outside advisors as needed, incl. budgets and invoicing
  • Ensure corporate and regulatory compliance, incl. corporate governance and applicable regulatory  framework in the focus countries
  • From time to time, review, draft and negotiate documents for strategic group projects (M&A, reorganisations, financing, etc.)
  • Ensure responsiveness and alignment with line manager, legal and business teams. Work directly with internal business teams and external customers and vendors.
  • Provide regular updates/reports about legal developments, the status/progress of contractual and other projects

Requirements

  • Master’s Law degree. Admitted to practice law in Czechia or Slovakia (law degree in Germany is a plus)
  • At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in a similar position as in-house or law practitioner at multi-national digital or IT business
  • Strong transactional experience in DACH
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate and commercial law and areas of law pertaining to IT services sector
  • Fluent in English (German at level B2 and higher is a plus)
  • Responsive and able to adapt and work flexibly in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
