Ciklum is looking for a Senior React Engineer to join our team in Argentina.

About the role:
As a Senior React Engineer, you'll become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experience of tomorrow.
This is a hands-on role focused on developing and maintaining high-performance user interfaces using React.js and modern JavaScript frameworks. You will play a key role in building scalable, maintainable web applications within a microfrontend and microservices architecture. In addition to React development, the ideal candidate will bring strong automation testing capabilities, leveraging tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar. You’ll collaborate closely with product owners, designers, and backend engineers in an Agile environment to deliver elegant, responsive, and reliable features that enhance user experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain modern, scalable front-end features using React.js, ES6, HTML5, and CSS3 within Agile teams
- Develop UI components as part of a microfrontend architecture, ensuring seamless integration and high performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and improve a complex web-based GUI used in a distributed microservices ecosystem
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code using unit, integration, and automation tests with tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, front-end build processes, and continuous quality improvements across the team
- Advocate for modern front-end practices, performance tuning, and UI/UX best practices
- Participate in code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and leading technical discussions where applicable
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience in front-end development, including strong proficiency in React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with modern React libraries and CSS-in-JS techniques (e.g., Styled Components, Emotion, etc.)
- Proven ability to write and maintain automated tests, with hands-on experience in Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent testing frameworks
- Familiarity with frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite, Babel, etc.) and version control systems like Git
- Working knowledge of databases—either PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other NoSQL solutions is a plus
- Experience working in Agile teams and contributing to collaborative development practices
- Strong understanding of modern UI/UX design principles, accessibility, and responsive design
- Passion for modern frontend technologies and eagerness to keep up with the evolving web ecosystem
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-first mindset
Desirable
- Experience with mobile application development (React Native or similar)
- Background in CI/CD environments and continuous integration tools
- Relevant academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
