Ciklum is looking for a Solution Architect to join our team full-time in Romania.

About the role:

As a Solution Architect, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. 

Our Client develops and deploys systematic financial strategies across a variety of asset classes and global markets. They seek to produce high-quality predictive signals (alphas) through proprietary research platform to employ financial strategies focused on exploiting market inefficiencies. The teams work collaboratively to drive the production of alphas and financial strategies – the foundation of a sustainable, global investment platform.
Technologists research, design, code, test and deploy projects while working collaboratively with researchers and portfolio managers. An environment is relaxed yet intellectually intense. Teams are lean and agile, which means rapid prototyping of products with immediate user feedback. We seek people who think in code, aspire to solve undiscovered computer science challenges and are motivated by being around like-minded people. In fact,in client company approximately 500 employees code on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

  • Scope, Design, Develop and help with Implementation of Solutions “As A Service” for use by the entire company
  • The “As a Service” Solutions need to be Rock Solid, Scalable, Secure and Well Documented
  • Solutions could utilize Cloud, K8S, Bare Metal or a combination thereof (Hybrid environment)

Requirements

  • Proven large scale designs implemented in production
  • Developer level coding skills, solid understanding of the Python ecosystem – candidate will have written libraries others have used in production
  • Deep understanding of Linux
  • Expert in infrastructure as a code and related tools as Ansible, Packer, Terraform etc
  • Familiarity with AWS and/or GCP for production use
  • Solid knowledge around containers  (Docker, Podman, LXC, K8S)
  • Experience with CI/CD, GitLab (preferred), GitHub or Git (including runners)
  • Experience with operating Open Source products for example Apache, NGINX, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sentry and interest in new and upcoming OS solutions
  • Ability to direct work of other junior members
  • Breadth of knowledge of existing Open Source solutions available
  • Self-Motivated i.e. little hand holding needed
