Ciklum is looking for a Support Engineer to join our team full-time in India.

About the role:

As a Support Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. As a Technical Support Cloud Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our client production systems. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues whilst working closely with both product developers and the non-technical support team. Your expertise in AWS, Java Glassfish and PostgreSQL, will be essential in diagnosing problems, implementing solutions, and maintaining the overall health of our client applications.

Responsibilities

  •  Providing technical support for production systems and ensuring timely resolution of issues
  • Collaborating with product developers to understand application functionality and troubleshoot issues
  • Working closely with the non-technical support team to provide clear communication and solutions to customer-reported problems
  • Diagnosing and resolving problems related to AWS infrastructure(VPC, EC2, Route53 Elastic Cache (Redis), RDS (Postgres), Node.js applications, PostgreSQL databases, and Java Glassfish application servers
  • Monitoring system performance and proactively identify potential issues
  • Assisting in the deployment and maintenance of applications and services
  • Staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to provide innovative solutions

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a technical support role or similar position (5 years minimum)
  • Expertise in AWS, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and other AWS services
  • Very good understanding and experience with Linux operating systems and services (Ubuntu)
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and experience with Node.js
  • Experience with PostgreSQL databases
  • Proficient in Python or other scripting languages for automation tasks
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
  • Strong communication skills (English), with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction

Desirable

  • An Understanding of serverless architecture
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Azure Devops or GitLab CI
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
