Ciklum is looking for a Expert Site Reliability Engineer to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

We are looking for a talented and dedicated SRE engineer to join the SRE practice which makes  sure that SRE is established as the central methodology in the teams. Furthermore, we do this by  creating blueprints, defining good practices & principles, creating documentation and coaching  people.

The Site Reliability Engineer is a practitioner and an advocate of quality-focused site reliability  practices, ensuring high quality of software products and services with an appropriate toolkit of  technologies and methods and with a DevSecOps mindset. Working in an agile environment and  keeping up with the ever-evolving technical landscape the Site Reliability Engineer is a lifelong  learner and likes to think outside the box.

Responsibilities

  • As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be part of a practice team that enables site reliability  engineering skills and capabilities across a whole domain.
  • Being an enthusiast in SRE, with a strong  DevSecOps mindset, and thanks to your excellent collaboration skills you will work with your team  to deliver the best answers to our customers’ needs and to take over full responsibility for its  applications, from design to operation. You care diligently about the quality of your work, including  proper documentation and security aspects.  
  • You can verbalise your thoughts and ideas and take the initiative to translate ideas into  outcomes. Together with the teams in the Domains, relevant Practice teams as well as the Group Enabler teams you also will research, evaluate and test new approaches, processes and tools and  help teams to use them effectively. You are demonstrating active contribution to Communities of  Practice, including collaboration in shared initiatives.

You always drive for technical excellence, ownership and  self-organisation at team and personal level. You love to learn and acquire new skills and keep up  to date with the latest developments in your focus areas.

Requirements

  • Experience in designing solution architectures, developing, and managing highly available,  distributed systems and services in a cloud environment, as well as defining and implementing  technical operations processes and rolling out new services across multiple teams and markets
  • Extensive hands-on experience implementing infrastructure-as-code with a strong focus on  DevSecOps principles
  • Good experience with CI/CD, preferably Gitlab CI, Jenkins is a plus  
  • Deep automation expertise, hands-on with some programming languages, e.g. Python, NodeJs  
  • Proven experience with monitoring/observability solutions, preferably Datadog  
  • Experience operating Linux-based systems and containerized infrastructure, including  orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Understanding of financial operations in the cloud, including cost optimization, observability ,  and reporting. Experience with cloud cost management tools is a plus
  • AWS Certification at Associate level or above  
  • Strong foundation in software engineering principles and practices, with an understanding of  the social and ethical implications of software development, as outlined in frameworks like the  ACM Code of Ethics
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail, a commitment to thorough  execution, and the ability to make data-driven decisions to drive optimal outcomes
  • Customer centric, passionate about delivering great digital products and services  
  • Passionate about continuous improvement, fostering collaboration and maintaining a  craftsmanship mindset in all aspects of work  
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to create technical content, deliver engaging  tech talks, and effectively share knowledge with diverse audiences
  • Open minded, inquisitive, life-long learner  
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, highly autonomous  
  • FinOps Practitioner Certification is a plus
