Ciklum is looking for a Junior Full Stack Engineer to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:

As a Junior Full Stack Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Our Client is a fast-growing, profitable, well-funded and dynamic global payments company. Its offices are located in Israel, New York and more. It is serving thousands of corporates and millions of end-users (payment receivers), in 190+ countries. R&D organization holds almost 500 workers (Developers, Manual QA, Automation QA, DBA, IT, Professional services / production support). R&D teams are operating in SCRUM methodology, with product managers involved in each team.

Client systems are based on Microsoft and open-source technologies serving both international WEB users and the Company internal users. R&D is looking to extend its capacity for new-developments and existing product enhancements, in high quality and fast pace of delivery. 
With client’s fast, flexible, secure and low-cost solutions, businesses and professionals in both developed and emerging markets can now pay and get paid globally as easily as they do locally.

Responsibilities

  • Back-end development to meet customer’s business needs and implement components according to modern software development environment (cloud-based platforms, microservice architecture, etc.)  with acceptable quality under supervision
  • Front-end development to meet customer’s business needs
  • Taking part in the decision-making process in design application architecture, solution development, architecture and code review
  • Describing own code within technical documents and simple diagrams and provide inputs/update to specifications for the solution
  • Writing various types of tests (unit, integration, functional, etc)
  • Proactive position in solution development, processes improvements
  • Working in an international distributed team in an Agile environment
  • Use of the best practices and patterns when designing and implementing application components
  • Investigate and fix application bugs

Requirements

  • Experience in software development for 2 years with backend and 1 year with frontend
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions and make strategic decisions when building software (business-oriented)
  • Good knowledge in Computer Science, Computing Theory:
    • Paradigm & Principles (OOP, SOLID, DDD, TDD, BDD)
    • Database theory (RDBMS, NoSQL)
    • Code testing practices
    • Algorithms
    • Data structures
  • Understanding of network interactions:
    • Protocols
    • Conventions (e.g. REST, RPC
    • Good knowledge and experience in C# and .NET (1-3 years)
  • Experience with:
    • REST API development
    • .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET (Core, MVC, WebAPI)
    • Angular, JavaScript
    • Testing frameworks (e.g. e.g. NUnit, XUnit, MSTest)
    • ORM (e.g. Entity Framework, Dapper)
    • RDBMS (e.g. SQL Server, MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL)
    • Version control systems (GIT)
  • Experience with:
    • Troubleshooting, profiling and debugging applications
    • Agile software processes and technologies
    • Code Review process
    • Strong Intermediate English

Desirable

  • Understanding of orchestration and containerisation (e.g. Kubernetes, Swarm)
  • Knowledge in Deployment patterns
  • Knowledge of:
    • Docker (will be a plus)
    • NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB, ElasticSearch, CouchDB)
    • Messaging systems (Azure ServiceBus, Apache Kafka, Active MQ, AWS SQS, Google Pub/Sub)
    • Integration with 3rd party solutions
    • Experience with Search Engines (e.g. ElasticSearch, Azure Search, Apache Solr)
    • Quality tools (e.g. SonarQube)
    • Authentication and authorization flows
    • Standards and practices (e.g. oAuth, JWT)
    • Key-value storages – knowledge of Redis
    • Messaging systems (e.g. RabbitMQ)
    • Continuous Integration tools (e.g. Gitlab Pipeline, Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo)
