Ciklum is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:

As a Senior DevOps Engineer , become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. With almost 100 million active users across 25 countries, they’re a global food tech company. As a recently formed team, they have many opportunities and ideas for sharing value back to the customers within their continuously expanding platform. They're looking for talented and trusted engineers to help them impress their customers. 

You will be part of the Data Platform team and contribute to the infrastructure teams that build tools enabling data products based on messaging and streaming solutions. The Messaging Integrations and Streaming teams are responsible for messaging infrastructure, configuration, and general use streaming solutions at Client, and we are looking to accelerate our new federated data lakes and support (near) real-time customer data use cases. The senior team members have a safe amount of autonomy and a unique opportunity for technical development, as well as help shape the future of data platform at Client.

Responsibilities

  • Strong knowledge of AWS services, or similar, and how to leverage them at scale
  • Experience with a programing language such as Go or Python
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-a-Code driven deployments, like Pulumi or Terraform
  • Practical experience with git and git workflow
  • Practical experience in how to operate containerized services using cloud management services like EKS
  • Software-centric mindset, preferably with some application development background
  • Agility mindset: we deliver often, and we deliver fast
  • Proven aptitude for working with scaled-up and complex cloud solutions
  • Problem-solving mindset, seeing them as an opportunity for improvement
  • Able to quickly come up with multiple immediate, short, medium, and long-term solutions and periodically prioritize tasks to stay in line with team/business goals
  • Open and honest communicator

Requirements

  • AWS
  • Infrastructure as code – Pulumi or Terraform
  • AWS IaC experience  
  • Kubernetes (EKS, docker)
  • Git
  • Fluent with a programming Language (GO, python, Java, C#)
  • Problem solver
  • Scripting and data manipulation

Desirable

  • Messaging experience (Kafka, SNS/SQS)
  • Google Cloud
  • SQL in the context of using for data access and manipulation 
  • Spec experience (openAPI, asyncAPI, etc)
