Ciklum is looking for a Senior .Net Developer to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:
As a Senior .Net Developer you will join the Product Algorithms team. Product Algos is a team focused on sharing existing machine learning and AI capabilities across the platform, improving those capabilities, and innovating new ones for the future. The team collaborates with different teams to integrate their services and drive innovation, utilizing ADRs and inner-sourcing. The team is also transitioning its service model from API to SDKs, which involves migration work in line with the company's technological direction. Over the next year, key objectives include fully migrating to an SDK and creating scalable services. Our team is made up of Software Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and Quality Engineers. We also work closely with Data Science teams.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer:
- You will play a vital role in collaborating with multiple development teams to design, implement, and maintain applications that meet business requirements
- You will develop and optimize backend solutions on AWS, including deploying services on Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) and leveraging AWS cloud services
- You will define technical solutions through our ADR process
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery
- Work with Docker containers for application packaging and deployment
- Implement and maintain messaging systems using SQS/SNS
- Design, develop, and optimise databases, including NoSQL and SQL databases, for data storage and retrieval
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, and quality assurance, to deliver high-quality software solutions
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends to contribute to the team's continuous improvement
- The team operates within the Agile – Kanban framework, emphasising flexibility, continuous improvement, and high-impact collaboration We engage in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, which are foundational to our approach in managing projects and driving innovation
These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
- Master the craft of writing high-quality, thoroughly tested code within a large team
- Understand the finer points of maintaining an excellent codebase for server-side applications
- Lead projects, mentor peers, and collaborate effectively. Introduce innovative ideas and develop robust, well-considered code
- Adhere to and help refine the team’s standards and processes. Contribute to setting these standards to ensure continuous improvement
- Pursue ongoing personal development by learning from teammates and applying this knowledge to benefit the team and enhance the applications
- Clearly communicate the technical efforts of your team to other engineering groups
- Own the responsibility for your updates from development through to their successful performance in production
- Regularly release updates to production environments and oversee these changes to ensure they perform well for users
- Play a role in reviewing and approving your team’s code changes once automated tests are passed. Generate and implement creative ideas to improve the applications
- Experience owning streams of work, from design to support in production
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of C# .NET
- Proficiency in AWS cloud services, including experience with EKS, Lambda, RDS, and other relevant services
- Strong knowledge of Docker and containerization technologies
- Experience with CI/CD using tools like GitHub Actions
- Devops skills are a big plus as a lot of work will be in there
- Familiarity with API Gateway management and OpenAPI Specs
- Prior experience with messaging systems, preferably SQS/SNS
- Proficiency in working with both NoSQL (preferably DynamoDB) and SQL databases
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Familiarity with Agile processes and team structure
- Microservice architectures and/or event-driven programming
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of when a pragmatic approach is needed
- An understanding of code design for efficiency and readability
- Commitment to writing tests as a definition of done
